Come and see! On the journey of Holy Week and Easter, we are not merely passive observers of our sacred story – we are companions engaged in the great adventure of being the body of Christ together. We involve our whole bodies in the ritual actions and drama of these days, which in turn shape us for lives of praise and protest, loving service, lament, prayer, and fierce resurrection hope.

April 2 – Maundy Thursday Prayer Service outside Whipple, 12pm
https://www.facebook.com/events/1667347584718728
“For I was in prison and you visited me.” -Mathew 25:36
Join us at noon outside the Bishop Whipple Federal Building for a simple ritual to mark Holy Thursday and to live God’s call to comfort the captives. We will wash the feet of faith leaders representing the plaintiffs for a recent lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security to prepare them to provide spiritual care to those detained by ICE inside Whipple, as a federal court recently ruled DHS must allow. And we will wash each other’s hands while praying and singing together to mark Jesus’s last supper before his own unjust arrest and detention.
All are invited.
We encourage you to bring water and a hand towel for the hand washing ritual.
We will gather across the street from the Whipple Building at its southeast corner. Found here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/yibVEjEzE1vVUEtH7?g_st=ic

Friday, April 3 – Good Friday Walk Through Sites of Crucifixion on South Minneapolis
Led by Lyndale UCC Pastors, 12 – 3pm
https://www.facebook.com/share/1J5mtFgdsd/
The walk will begin at Say Their Names Cemetery at George Floyd Square. We will pause and hold space at George Floyd Square, at the Renee Good Memorial, at the Karmel Mall, at an abduction site at 29th and Pillsbury, and end at the Alex Pretti memorial. People are free to walk, drive, or bike – the distance is about two miles one way. We welcome all to be present in this powerful witness in whatever way you can join. There will be poetry, prayer and singing at each site as well as time for quietness and honoring the tears on this land.
