Neighborhood Quilting

This program, initiated in 2016 in part with a grant from the Minneapolis-Area Synod of the ELCA, is intended to help us learn to know our neighbors through making quilts for others.

By the end of the 2017 academic year, more than 325 quilts had been completed.

These quilts have gone to various people in need -- residents at Our Saviour's Housing shelter, neighbors, to the people (in impoverished countries or recovering from disasters, for example) served by Lutheran World Relief.

Everyone welcome! No particular sewing experience is needed. Have fun learning new skills or using old ones while making something warm and beautiful.

During the academic year, the group meets Wednesday afternoons. During the summer, several special Saturday work days are planned:

Sat Jun 17
Sat Jul 15
Sat Aug 19

Join us in the Hospitality Center from 9:00-4:00. Come work all of that time, or any part of it.
