Day Camp update

Day Camp update – Soil and Spirit, June 21-25
Our ecumenical day camp for kids is back this summer! Our theme is ‘Soil and Spirit.’ We will be digging into the bible, doing art together, writing a song, learning about soil from a soil scientist who goes by “Dr. Dirt,” and more. We will be doing a virtual camp again for elementary kids with live Zooms in the morning followed by some other online video content that kids can access during the day, supplemented with a couple of evening in-person, outdoor, masked gatherings. We also are offering a middle and high school camp in the afternoons during the week and are hoping to have a crew of high schoolers help lead the elementary kids online and at the in-person gatherings.
Please keep day camp leaders in your prayers as we put together a meaningful, safe, relational, faith-forming camp together. It’s a joyful challenge to prepare for another camp experience as the pandemic continues. I look forward to the day when we can have OSLC volunteers helping out on site and in person – here’s hoping 2022 is a different experience!
You can check out our website is here to learn more and to register kids. The camp is for kids who are 5 and older, but if littler ones want to register to be part of the morning Zooms, by all means you can!
