Lutheran-Catholic Worship Jan 22

Recently Lutherans and Catholics met in Lund, Sweden, to worship together to launch in a year-long observance of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation. Joint worship celebrates that what unites us is more powerful than what divides us.

On Sunday, January 22, the Minneapolis and St. Paul synods will join with the Archdioceses of St. Paul and Minneapolis for an ecumenical service of Evening Prayer at Central Lutheran Church at 5:00pm. Archbishop Hebda will preach. A parallel service is being planned for January 2018 to mark the ending of the Anniversary year, to be held at the St. Paul Cathedral.

This is an opportunity for us to observe the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity during the Year of Commemoration of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation and to participate in healing the breaches between our denominations. Plan to attend, and invite your Lutheran and Catholic friends!
