Potluck Picnic for LVCers
A message from Deirdre Kanzer (Program Manager – Midwest, Lutheran Volunteer Corps):
Greetings Support and Donor Congregations and Host Families,
I’m writing to warmly invite you to join us for an end-of-year picnic / potluck for out-going Volunteers. This year’s Volunteers have made incredible contributions to LVC, placement organizations, and communities, and it’s time to celebrate their accomplishments and bid them farewell!
We will gather at Powderhorn Park on Friday, July 15th at 4:30 PM. We’ll gather outside Powderhorn Recreation Center (15th Avenue South and East 34th Street) and then stake out an open area to set up. It is a potluck, so please bring a dish to share. If you have Frisbees, baseballs and gloves, or other recreational equipment, feel free to bring them, as well. We will begin eating at 5pm.
We hope so much you are able to attend. Please share our invitation with anyone and everyone in your congregation – and beyond! – who would like to attend. The more the merrier!
