"God's work. Our hands."

The Outreach Table invites you to help to serve on October 19. On that date, Our Saviour's joins with nearly 10,000 ELCA congregations in putting our faith into action by serving our community. Attend worship at 10:30, share a potluck after, then, between 1:00 and 4:00pm, share the love of God with all of God’s people.  Five opportunities will be available (and more may be added):

  • Support the nonprofit Breaking Free, an organization serving women and girls involved in systems of abuse, exploitation, and prostitution/sex trafficking, by putting together household kits with towels, pots and pans and silverware. [Note: If you have these items to donate ahead of Oct 19, please bring to church beginning Sunday, September 21.]
  • Tie quilts for Lutheran World Relief.  LWR hopes to distribute 500,000 quilts in disaster areas this year; we can add a few. The only skill required is being able to tie a knot. It is fun for all ages. The quilt tops, backs and fillers will be ready to complete with some knots from you.
  • Volunteer with Community Emergency Services, a social service agency that provides food, housing and other supports to folks living in our neighborhood.
  • Complete Fall yard work for Our Saviour's and Our Saviour's Community Services’ properties that provide shelter to those who are homeless and educational services to immigrants and refugees.
  • Write letters for Bread for the World, working to end hunger in the U.S. and around the world.
